For many couples Brazil and its surrounding islands are an ideal honeymoon destination.
There are many elegant and small haciendas/lodges offering a private and personal feeling well away from other tourists.
Although Brazil is a diverse country and has everything you may need for a honeymoon, joining another country to your honeymoon adds other cultures and experiences and Brazil can be easily combined with other South American countries and/or its islands.
Whatever time of year you decide to get married there is always a season for you in Brazil.
It represents very good value for money and its wide range of differently priced haciendas/lodges means that there is something for everyone
We have organized many hundreds of honeymoons for couples from all over the world ranging from short to long, cheap to very expensive, and it is well worth looking at the references page which has a huge amount of "post honeymoon" feedback.
It really is worth taking the trouble to get the honeymoon right, which is why we recommend if possible coming into our offices in Fulham, London for a private presentation to talk through the possibilities. If this is not possible then we can talk through and advise on any itinerary in Brazil and quote on the phone. Our personal favourites for honeymoons are Bahia with its diverse cultures and superb beaches, Rio and the surrounding coastline, Iguazu and for the more adventurous the wildlife in the Panatanl is a unique experience.
The itineraries page will give you an idea of the possibilities, but one combination that seems to come up time and time again is a beach - adventure - beach combination as follows:
4 nights at the start at Florianopolis, ideal to unwind from the wedding followed by 2 nights at the Iguazu National Park with its many different waterfalls, followed by 3 nights in Rio and the final 4 nights in Picinguaba. This itinerary would cost between £2,200 and £3,500 depending on room type and including internal flights and transfers.
Planning a budget - this is obviously a very rough guide - we can advise and quote on the phone.
£1,500 per person for a honeymoon in Salvador and some of the beaches in Bahia.
£2,500 per person visiting honeymoon in Picinguaba, Rio and Buzios.
£3,000 per person for a complete luxury Brazilian tour including Rio, Iguazu, Florianopolis and the Pantanal.
£4,000 per person for a week in the Archipelago of Fernando de Noronha and a week in Salvador, followed by a stay in a secluded hacienda on the beach.
Up to £5,000 per person for the very best - a 3 week trip including Picinguaba, Iguazu Falls, Rio, The Panatanal, Florianopolis and Salvador, staying in the best accommodation available.
These prices include accommodation on a b&b basis, transfers, all activities on a private basis, but exclude international flights, which would cost around £800 - £900 depending on your destination
